American Furniture Warehouse, headquartered in Colorado, was founded in 1975 by Jake Jabs. Though the genre of retailing furniture warehouse was started by Levitz furniture, which was a very popular chain of furniture stores spread over America, it was American Furniture Warehouse which took the idea forward and made it a trend in retailing furniture. Today American Furniture Warehouse has a large database of customers who are regulars at the store as they are know that they get the kind of furniture they want and along with it comes durability and affordability. Though the competition in the form of Chinese furniture increased, the owner of American Furniture Warehouse were least perturbed about it and decided that they would not like to be associated with companies that were against China for selling their furniture. Their confidence that their sales would not be affected in any way came from the knowledge that their products were of high quality and its affordability. Emphasizing their unique furnishings and exclusive designs was the highlighting feature of their furniture. Apart from this , the owner Jake Jabs is also highly philanthropic and has always encouraged community services and believes in giving back to the society what he has got from it.
